Local servicing

Pool service in Townsville is its own thing.

North Queensland puts pools through more than the southern states ever see. Tropical heat drives chlorine demand up, the wet season dumps leaves and storm runoff in week after week, and coastal salt-air eats chlorinator cells and pump seals faster than the manuals suggest. None of it is a problem on the right cadence — it only becomes a problem when a pool is left to drift.

A Townsville pool rotation typically runs fortnightly through summer and stretches to four-weekly in the cooler months — weekly for holiday rentals or pools under heavy canopy. Whatever the cadence, the visit looks the same: full clean, balanced water, equipment and basket check, backwash or cartridge clean, and a written report by email.

FAQs

Quick questions.

Do I need to be home during the service?

No — as long as we have access to the pool area. Most clients leave a side gate unlocked or share a code. We send before-and-after photos so you know exactly what was done while you were out.

My pool's starting to turn green — what do I do?

Contact us straight away — the sooner we act, the less work it'll be. In the meantime, if you have a floating chlorine dispenser, drop a tablet in and run your pump as long as possible. That buys time. A pool that's just tinting green can usually be brought back in a couple of days; one that's gone full algae can take a week or more, plus chemicals.

If my chlorinator fails, is there a way to stop my pool turning green?

Yes — short term, floating chlorine tablets in a dispenser will hold the line for a week or two while the chlorinator gets diagnosed or replaced. You'll want to test the water more often than usual (a strip test every 2–3 days). For anything beyond that, we can carry out the equipment repair under the maintenance service and supply a replacement cell if needed.

Do I need to lock my dog away when you visit?

Yes — please restrain or lock pets away before we arrive. We're carrying chemicals, vacuum hose and equipment, and we need the gate open. Even friendly dogs can be a hazard around the chemical kit. If pets aren't secure on arrival, we may need to reschedule and a callout fee can apply.

Can I buy chemicals or parts from you directly?

Yes — we supply chlorine, pH adjusters, stabiliser, cartridges, chlorinator cells, pumps and replacement parts. Get in touch with the size of your pool and what you need; we'll quote at supplier cost without the hardware-store mark-up.

What Townsville suburbs do you cover?

The CBD plus Kirwan, Annandale, Hyde Park, Idalia, North Ward, Mundingburra, Aitkenvale, Hermit Park, Mt Louisa and Bushland Beach. Outside that? Drop us a line — we often travel further for corporate jobs.

What if my pool needs a chemical top-up?

Chemicals used on the day are billed separately, at cost, per individual pool requirement. We always show you what's needed and get your authorisation before adding anything.
