What we check

A proper walk-around of pool, equipment and chemistry.

A pool consultation isn't a sales pitch — it's a working visit. We look at what's there, take readings, write it up. You end up with a clear picture of what's healthy, what's drifting, and what the next visit should focus on.

  • Pool surface, surrounds & safety check Cracks, staining, tile damage, coping, fencing compliance.
  • Equipment inspection Pump, filter, chlorinator cell, timer, returns and skimmer — checked for wear, leaks and obvious failure points.
  • Water testing Chlorine, pH, alkalinity, salt and stabiliser — properly metered, not just strip-tested.
  • Written summary by email Plain-English read of where the pool's at, what (if anything) it needs, and a recommended service cadence.

Properly metered

Real chemistry readings, not strip-tested guesses.

Townsville pools live and die by chemistry. We use a digital meter on every visit so the numbers you get back are the real numbers — not "looks about right" from a colour strip.

Every consultation report includes the ideal range, your actual reading, and what (if anything) needs adjusting. If your pool just needs a chemical tune rather than a full clean, we'll tell you that.

When to book a consultation

Common reasons clients book this first.

01

You've just bought a house with a pool

We do a baseline read of the equipment, chemistry and surface so you know what you've inherited before anything goes wrong.

02

Something's drifting

Water cloudy, algae creeping in, chlorinator not holding the line? A consultation diagnoses the cause rather than guessing at a fix.

03

You want a service quote without commitment

Not ready to lock into a regular service? A consultation gives you a tier recommendation (35,000 L / 65,000 L / large) with zero pressure.

04

You're a landlord / property manager

Pool included in a rental? We can do a pre-tenancy assessment and a written condition report you can attach to the lease.

What you get

A written report, by email, within one business day.

Every consultation ends with a plain-English report in your inbox. No templated PDF nobody reads — actual notes on what we found, what's worth watching, what (if anything) needs doing.

  • Photos of the pool, equipment shed and any issues we spotted
  • Full chemistry table — readings vs ideal range
  • Equipment condition notes and any flags for the future
  • Recommended service tier + cadence (if you want to proceed)

Consultation FAQs

Quick questions, before you book.

Is the $35 redeemable against a service?

No — the consultation fee covers the visit, water testing and the written report. If you go on to book a service we don't tack on extras for the work we already did, but the $35 isn't a deposit toward it.

Do I need to be home for the consultation?

Not necessarily. If you can leave the side gate accessible we can do the inspection while you're at work and follow up by phone or email with the findings.

How quickly can you come out?

Usually within a few business days — sooner for green-pool emergencies. Book online with your preferred date and we'll confirm within one business day.

Will you try to upsell me on a regular service?

No. The report is the deliverable. If a regular service makes sense we'll say so plainly; if your pool's fine as it is, we'll say that too.

Do you do consultations for body corporate / commercial pools?

Yes — same flat fee for the standard residential-sized inspection. For larger commercial pools or multiple bodies of water on one site, get in touch for a tailored quote.
